A walk-in closet that fits the way I actually live. Every drawer, every pull-out — they asked first, then drew it. The Wanza wood is unreal up close.
Bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and joinery — built in our own shop, finished by hand. Custom kitchens, walk-in closets, vanities, doors, and stone-and-wood sinks made to the architect's drawings, for the same caliber of project as 2:20 Partners.
2:20 Woodworks operates as the in-house joinery for 2:20 Partners — but takes on independent commissions, too. Because our makers sit one room away from the architects, what's drawn is what's built. Profiles, joinery details, hardware specs, and finish tolerances are agreed before a single board is cut.
We work in Ethiopian hardwoods — Tid, Wanza, Zigba, Tikur Inchet — paired with imported veneers, brass, stone, and machined steel for hardware. Every commission is hand-finished and signed.
Full kitchens from cabinetry to islands to integrated appliances. Hardwood frames, soft-close hardware, stone or wood counters, brass or steel fixtures — built to the architect's plan, fitted to the millimeter.
Dressing rooms designed for how you actually live. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, integrated lighting, dressing islands, jewelry drawers, and pull-outs sized to your wardrobe.
Wall-hung or freestanding vanities with our signature integrated stone-and-wood sinks. Floating shelves, medicine cabinets, and tall towers — built to match the cabinetry of the rest of the home.
Solid hardwood doors — interior, exterior, pocket, pivot — with brass or matte-black hardware. Finished in matching tones to the floor and trim.
Library walls, media units, mudroom benches, banquettes, paneling, and trim. The structural carpentry that makes a home feel finished.
One-off dining tables, beds, desks, sideboards, and seating. Made in Ethiopian hardwoods to a bespoke commission and signed by the maker.
We work primarily in Ethiopian hardwoods — selected for grain, durability, and origin. Hardware, veneers, and stone come from a small group of trusted suppliers we've worked with for years.
Aromatic, tight-grained, naturally rot-resistant. Our default for cabinetry frames and structural millwork.
Deep red-brown with dramatic figure. Used for statement furniture and feature panels.
Light, even-grained, takes finish beautifully. Our choice for closets, vanities, and lighter cabinetry.
Black wood — dense, hard, hand-rubbed to a deep luster. Reserved for accents, hardware, and one-off pieces.
We start from architect's drawings or a fresh brief. Profiles, materials, and hardware specs are agreed before fabrication.
For larger commissions we make a finish sample first — wood, stain, hardware — for client sign-off before production.
Cut, joinery, sanding, finishing — all in our shop. Hand-finished by the same maker who started the piece.
We deliver and install on site. Final tuning — alignments, hardware, soft-close adjustment — happens in place.

The kitchen is the heart of the house now. Soft-close everywhere, brass that ages well, and a stone-and-wood sink no one we know has. They installed in three days.
We commissioned a 14-seat dining table in Tikur Inchet. The maker came to deliver it, signed it, and showed us how to oil the top. Heirloom-quality work.
Whether it's a single dining table or a whole-house joinery package, we'd like to hear about it. The first conversation is free.
